Team India before the match against Nepal

South Asian powerhouse India and Sri Lanka won their respective matches on day 4 of the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Championship for men at Kathmandu, Nepal.

India defeated hosts Nepal 74 – 41 to win it’s third match of the championship. Hosts Nepal put on excellent display to restrict India to 74 points. Prakash Mishra netted 17 points for India while Binod Maharjan netted 13 points for Nepal.

In another match on day 4, Sri Lanka defeated Maldives.

The winner of this championship will represent SABA in the FIBA Asia Cup tentatively scheduled for mid-July in Wuhan (China).
