Hosts Xavier International College and Saipal Academy win the Xavier International Inter-College Basketball tournament in Kathmandu, capital of Himalayan country Nepal.
Playing in the home court, hosts Xavier managed to defeated the fancied Prime College 56 (14, 14, 18, 10) – 48 (8, 16, 16, 8) to lift the boys title with the game high 24 points from Binesh Neupane.
Meanwhile in the girls category, Saipal Academy defeated Whitehouse college 41 (11, 13, 12, 5) – 33 (9, 4, 9, 11) to lift the title. Shanti Shrestha top scored with 21 points from Saipal Academy.
Binesh Neupane and Shanti Shrestha were declared Boys and Girls MVP respectively of the tournament.
