Clifford Iyobosa Omoruyi is a Nigerian college basketball player who plays for the Alabama Crimson Tide of the Southeastern Conference, as of 2024. Omoruyi used to play for the Big Ten Conference's Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Omoruyi immigrated to the US at the age of 14 to enroll in Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington, New Jersey. Before getting injured, he almost averaged a double-double in four games as a freshman at Queen of Peace. Omoruyi made his comeback in time for the state tournament, where he finished a game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks. Omoruyi had to transfer to Roselle Catholic High School after Queen of Peace closed.

Going into his junior year, Omoruyi returned to Roselle Catholic High School, claiming he didn't want to avoid difficulties. In his junior year, he averaged 11.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game. Omoruyi led Roselle Catholic to a 22–7 record and the NJSIAA's Non-Public B North championship as a senior, averaging 14.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 5.4 blocks per game.

Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year, NJHoops.com's First Team All-State, and The Star-Ledger's Second Team All-State were all given to Omoruyi. He averaged 11.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game for the New York Lightning in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League. Rivals ranked him 42nd in his class and rated him as a four-star prospect.

Six games into his rookie season, Omoruyi sprained his knee, causing him to miss three weeks of action. He averaged four rebounds and 3.8 points per game as a freshman. Omoruyi started as the team's center heading into his sophomore year. As a sophomore, Omoruyi received media recognition as an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten.

He scored 11.9 points and pulled down 7.8 rebounds on average. Omoruyi was selected to the Second Team All-Big Ten after averaging 13.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game as a junior. He chose to return to Rutgers after declaring for the 2023 NBA draft. With an average of 10.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game as a senior, Omoruyi was named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team. Omoruyi transferred to the University of Alabama from Rutgers after the season.
