Lisa Marie Bluder serves as the head coach for the women's basketball team at Iowa Hawkeyes. She has also held coaching positions at St. Ambrose University and the Drake Bulldogs. Bluder was a student at Linn Mar High School. Earned her degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1983. Her coaching journey started at St. Ambrose University, where she spent six years before transitioning to Drake.

Bluder has been coaching at the University of Iowa for 24 years and has a total coaching experience of 40 years. She is the most successful coach in the program's history, with her teams reaching the postseason 16 times in 17 seasons, including eight NCAA Tournament appearances in the last decade. Bluder has been honored with the Big Ten Coach of the Year award three times and the WBCA Regional Coach of the Year award twice.

However, the devotion of coaches leading to their absence as a part of a family is an ongoing issue for every mentor. Nevertheless, Bluder has defied that reality with her husband supporting her through every season.

He works at his family's restaurant, Country Kitchen in Marion, and is also an investor, businessman, and banker. Previously, he served as an instructor of business policies at the University of Iowa.

Despite facing challenges, including a three-day coma, David has persevered. With a net worth of $500,000, he authored a book titled 'The Great Gamble: At What Price' in 2020, reflecting his resilience and determination. Their marriage is a testament to mutual support and shared accomplishments.

The Bluder family's eldest daughter, Hannah Bluder, plays an active role at Iowa University as the Director of Operations. While closely aligned with her mother's profession, Hannah pursued her passion for sports, participating in football and basketball during her collegiate years.

However, she chose not to be coached by her mother, forging her own path within the sports industry. Meanwhile, David Bluder Jr., the youngest of the siblings, excels both academically and athletically as a basketball player at Grinnell College, embodying a well-rounded approach to his pursuits.
