Prolific Prep has been one of the most well-known schools in high school basketball and has been doing some postseason moves in landing another five-star on Tuesday. With Darryn Peterson having graduated and going to Kansas, the school announced that Class of 2025 No. 7 overall Caleb Holt will be transferring in to the school.Caleb Holt previously went to Georgia powerhouse Grayson High School during his junior year. He has offers from Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, Kansas, Kentucky, Baylor, Houston, Providence and Arkansas and is considered one of the most highly sought-after shooting guards in his class. It has been a busy week so far for Holt, who just got back from the Adidas EuroCamp in Treviso, Italy, and led the Team 3SSB Select to a championship while there. He averaged 17.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.3 steals over three games there, winning the MVP award and getting back home to sign a massive NIL deal with Adidas. He then announced his transfer to Prolific Prep.It will now be Holt's third high school, initially going to Buckhorn High School in Alabama before transferring to Grayson and then to Prolific Prep in Florida. At Buckhorn, he led the school to two straight state championships in 2023 and 2024 and was named Alabama's Mr. Basketball in 2024. He is coming to Prolific Prep with a ton of hype, especially with the school moving from Napa, California, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He averaged 18.2 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 6.2 apg and 2.8 spg per game for the Rams. How will Prolific Prep look with Caleb Wilson coming in and Darryn Peterson gone? With the Class of 2025 already graduated, losing some key players like Darryn Peterson and four-star power forward Niko Bundalo, Prolific Prep is aiming to rebuild, especially with its move to Florida. The first big piece they added from the Class of 2026 is Holt, but who will be joining him there in Fort Lauderdale? No. 4-ranked five-star Obinna Ekezie is expected to return as part of the Class of 2027, along with No. 17-ranked Gabe Nesmith. The Crew is still in rebuilding mode with Peterson and Bundalo gone, but Holt has been a big gain for a school which once featured AJ Dybantsa and Tyran Stokes on the same team.
