Gilbert Arenas' ex-wife Laura Govan shares candid moments with Russell Wilson's wife, Ciara, at BET Awards

Laura Govan, the former wife of three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, was seen dressed in an all-red outfit at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards at Peacock Theater at L.A. Live on Monday. The 45-year-old shared some candid moments with her celebrity friends backstage on her Instagram story.

In one of her stories, Govan was seen sharing a heartfelt moment with Ciara, an American singer-songwriter and dancer, as well as the wife of New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson.

"Love and appreciation you mama," Govan captioned her story and tagged Ciara.

The video was shared by "NCAA Noobita" on X (formerly Twitter).

Govan also shared more pictures with celebrities, including a TV personality and entrepreneur, Nene Leakes, Claire Sulmers and Nikki Mudarris.

"Been at this for some time now! My baby," Anthony captioned her story with a red heart emoji and tagged Leakes.

Her second story featured Sulmers, "You inspire me mama."

She also shared an image with Leakes and Mudarris.

"Well damn Snatch Back," the story was captioned with two red heart emojis.

The BET Awards featured top talents from the African-American community in various fields such as film, sports, music and philanthropy. Rapper Kendrick Lamar became the 2025 edition's biggest winner, after winning five awards from 10 nominations.

Another basketball mother, La La Anthony, the former wife of the 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, was also present at the event. The 42-year-old was dressed in all-black and was also a presenter for the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Artist, given to rapper and singer GloRilla.
