UConn Huskies basketball sensation Paige Bueckers is gaining popularity off the court during the college basketball offseason. Bueckers, a fan favorite in Connecticut, once again made it to the news following her latest Instagram post.

She shared a series of pictures on Instagram with her nearly two million followers. Bueckers wore a white crop top and cargo pants with a military camouflage print while complementing her outfit with a light pink over jacket.

Standing in front of abstract paintings while posing for the snaps, Bueckers captioned her post:

Last week, Paige Bueckers was in the headlines because her name was linked to the Golden State Valkyries, the brand-new team set to be inducted into the WNBA in 2025. However, the 2021 Naismith College Player of the Year recipient has remained tight-lipped about her future.

For now, college basketball fans will be waiting for the 2024-25 season to start to experience the brilliance of one of the best college basketball players to have graced the court.

Paige Bueckers preferred college basketball over WNBA for 2024-25

UConn guard Paige Bueckers opted to stay with the Huskies for the 2024-25 season, delaying her entry into the WNBA. After two seasons disrupted by injuries, Bueckers made a return in 2023-24, averaging 22.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, leading UConn to the Final Four.

During the senior night festivities back in mid-February, Bueckers announced her decision, saying:

"Unfortunately this will not be my last senior night here at UConn."

This was something that fans at Gampel Pavilion wanted to hear. The 22-year-old elaborated on the decision, citing her love for the UConn family and her sense of unfinished business.

"I just feel like I'm not done yet here. I feel like God is still writing my story here. I'm just blessed to be a part of this program, and I never want it to end," she said.

The Huskies star was a top prospect for the 2024 WNBA draft. However, the deep connection to UConn and her teammates compelled her to stay and compete for the top prize once again.
