LSU's Flau'jae Johnson steals spotlight at 2025 BET awards with gorgeous look in stylish crimson grown

LSU star Flau'jae Johnson is shining on the red carpet as well, making a striking appearance at the 2025 BET Awards on Monday. Johnson turned heads in Los Angeles with her burgundy gown.

Her fan page, The Flauk's Instagram account, shared a picture of her fit as she posed for the camera on the red carpet.

Her strapless dress featured a fitted bodice and a long train that cascaded behind, adding to the grandeur of the outfit. Johnson completed the ensemble with a necklace, rings and a small clutch bag.

Johnson also posted photos of herself in the dress on her Instagram account, giving fans a closer look at her appearance. In the post, she thanked her glam team for the look, including the hair designer, makeup artist, photographer and stylist.

Flau'jae Johnson, who appeared on "The Rap Game" when she was 12 years old, was nominated for the Sportswoman of the Year award at the event.

Flau'jae Johnson reveals that she found out about her BET nomination via Instagram

Flau'jae Johnson, a senior-to-be guard on Kim Mulkey's LSU team, appeared on "The Breakfast Club" podcast on Sunday, where she discussed her BET Award nomination with host Loren LoRosa.

When Loren asked Johnson how she found out about the nomination, the Tigers star admitted that it was through Instagram, not a phone call or text.

"I saw it on Instagram. That’s some new generation stuff, I guess," Johnson said (Timestamp: 2:40). "They tagged me in the story, so I knew it was real — it was BET's Instagram. I was like, 'Okay, I’m nominated. This is lit!'"

Flau'jae Johnson shared what it meant for her to be nominated and mentioned the other talented women she was nominated alongside.

"Man, it's an honor," she said. "Like, look at the women that I'm in a category with — come on, come on! Coco Gauff just got the big dub at the French Open. It's a blessing to just be recognized in that category."

Besides Johnson, fellow athletes Angel Reese, JuJu Watkins, Simone Biles and Coco Gauff were nominated for the award.
