MiLaysia Fulwiley is at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in Eugene and was watched on by her girlfriend JaMeesia Ford make history. The South Carolina track athlete was competing in the NCAA's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Ford is partaking in four events in the biggest college track tourney - two relays (4x100 meters and 4x400 meters) and two sprints (100 meters and 200 meters). Fulwiley was in the stands when the 2024 NCAA Indoor Champion set a 100m record on Thursday. She posted the video of Ford's sprint, pairing it up with words of motivation.
"10.8 @jameesiaford that's how u feeling," Fulwiley wrote.

JaMeesia Ford was in Heat 3 of the 100m event and touched the finish line in 10.87 seconds, entering the NCAA's all-time top-10 list. Nevertheless, she will be a notable contender in the finals, as Anthaya Charlton also completed her 100mm sprint in 10.87 (Heat 1). The two had a difference of a hundredth of a second.
"The 200 is my favorite, and I've started to focus more on the 100 this year," Ford said on Monday. "My goal is to get first place in all my events. What's going through my head is to just execute my race and run."
Ford also made her presence known in the 200m event at her second NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She finished the race in 21.98 seconds, making the sixth fastest time in college history and the best record of the 2025 qualifiers.
MiLaysia Fulwiley and JaMeesia Ford won't be together in South Carolina next year
MiLaysia Fulwiley and JaMeesia Ford cultivated a name for being a power couple in South Carolina over the last two years. While Ford continues to make and break records, Fulwiley helped the Gamecocks win the 2024 NCAA tournament and grabbed national attention with her playing style.
However, the two athletic stars won't share the same campus next season. That's because Fulwiley entered the transfer portal this offseason and will play for SEC rivals LSU Tigers next year. She has two years of eligibility left.
