Basketball fans are set to be entertained as UConn’s KK Arnold and South Carolina’s Chloe Kitts headline the Overtime Select weekend. On Thursday, Overtime Select announced the event on Instagram.
The league, renowned for showcasing the rising stars of the game, partnered with Gatorade for the event, attracting top-tier talent from across the country. KK Arnold averaged 5.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 47.4% for the Huskies last season. Chloe Kitts averaged 10.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 52.0% for the Gamecocks last season.
“We got a whole lotta stars pullin’ up to the Takeover this weekend!” the caption read.
The eight-team league showcases top girls' basketball talent in the country, ages 15 to 18. The platform helps young athletes build their brands and prepare for the next stage of their basketball careers.
The athletes will receive guidance from experienced advisors, supporting them on and off the court to set them up for success. Fans responded to the announcement by filling the comments with excitement.
Chloe Kitts hits the gym to prepare ahead of the 2025-26 season
South Carolina forward Chloe Kitts isn’t wasting any time this offseason. Fresh off a strong campaign with the Gamecocks, the forward was back in the gym, locked in ahead of the upcoming 2025–26 season. In an Instagram post on Thursday, Kitts posted photos from her training sessions, sharing a glimpse into her offseason.
The post, which received over 20,000 likes, showcased intense training shots. In one image, Kitts was seen rising for a jumper in an empty gym, while another showed her driving past a defender in a 1-on-1 drill.
“Back at it,” Kitts wrote.
As one of the team’s emerging leaders, Kitts will be expected to take on an even bigger role, something her offseason efforts reflected. In other training images, she is spotted mid-rep with a jump shot, flanked by teammates and trainers.
