The Samford Bulldogs is the men's basketball team representing Samford University in the NCAA Division I Basketball. The Bulldogs compete in the Southern Conference. The Bulldogs have made three appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 1999, 2000, and most recently in 2024, earning one postseason win. Their achievements include winning two titles in the Southern Conference Tournament as well as winning the Athletic Sun Conference thrice in 1996, 1997, and 1999.

Bucky McMillan is the head coach of the Samford Bulldogs for the 2024–2025 season. McMillan has been the head coach since 2020. His teams have produced an 89-43 record during his coaching career. Bucky led the Bulldogs to two Southern Conference titles and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024. For his remarkable coaching career, he won the NHSCA Coach of the Year in 2018 and SoCon Coach of the Year thrice in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
