Sarah Strong and the rest of the UConn Huskies are gunning for a national title repeat in the 2025-26 season
Before 2025, the last time the UConn Huskies won the NCAA national championship was in 2016. It was the end of their illustrious national title run from 2013 to 2016 with Breanna Stewart.
With a historic 12th national title, the most in the sport, Sarah Strong and the rest of coach Geno Auriemma's squad will be gunning for another title in the 2025-26 season.
Previously, Auriemma's Huskies also had a national title three-peat from 2002 to 2004, as well as back-to-back chips in 2009 and 2010. This was Strong's first national title run, and the Huskies have made some changes to the roster to help her in the title defense.
