Sarah Strong is a college basketball player for the UConn Huskies, a collegiate basketball team in the Big East Conference. According to her official UConn roster, Strong lived in Spain for the first ten years of her life. For her basketball prep, she attended Fuquay-Varina High School in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. Strong averaged 25 points and 19 rebounds a game in her first season at high school. In addition, she was the 2023 and 2024 North Carolina Miss Basketball and the 2023 and 2024 Gatorade North Carolina Player of the Year.

She led Grace Christian to three NCISAA state titles with an average of 21.0 points, 16.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. Strong was a gold medal winner at the 2022 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup, the 2023 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup, and the 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup. She also won the 2024 Naismith High School Player of the Year award and was an All-American in the McDonald's, Naismith, SLAM, and Jordan Brand categories. In Bucaramanga, Colombia, Strong's 7.2 ppg average, team-second-best 7.7 rpg, 3.0 apg, and 2.2 spg in 14.3 mpg helped the 2024 Women's U18 National Team win gold. According to ESPN, Strong was the top recruit in the class of 2024. She committed to play collegiate basketball for UConn on April 6, 2024.
