The Temple Owls men's basketball team is the collegiate basketball program representing Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a member of the American Athletic Conference (AAC), the team competes in NCAA Division I. The Temple University basketball program's first game was played in 1894.

Charles Williams was the first head coach of the Temple basketball program, serving from 1894 to 1899. The Temple Owls men's basketball team joined the American Athletic Conference (AAC) in 2013, after previously being a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Owls have appeared in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) 19 times in their entire history. The team also has won the NIT championship twice, as of November 2024. Their first NIT victory came in 1938, followed by another win in 1969.

Adam Fisher is the head coach of the Temple Owls basketball team, as of November 2024. Temple Athletic Director Arthur Johnson made an official announcement that Adam Fisher would be taking on the role of head coach for the Temple Owls men's basketball team, on March 29, 2023.

Adam Fisher has previously served as the associate head coach at the Penn State Nittany Lions basketball team from 2021 to 2023 and as an assistant coach at Miami (FL) from 2015 to 2021. Adam Fisher was invited to participate in TopConnect 2021, a national networking program for the nation's top assistant coaches. His contributions as the Associate Head Coach at the Penn State basketball program helped in the team's success, helping them achieve 23 wins and make it to the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Associate Head Coach

As of November 2024, Michael Huger is serving as the Associate Head Coach of the Temple Owls men's basketball team. He joined the Temple coaching staff in 2023, following his previous role as the head coach for his alma mater, the Bowling Green Falcons team.

Michael Huger is a former basketball player, having started his playing career at Bowling Green from 1989 to 1993. He then went on to play for several basketball teams, primarily in the position of guard.

In 2005, Michael Huger began his basketball coaching career as an assistant coach at the Longwood basketball program. Since then, he has gained experience and expertise in coaching at various levels of the sport.

Assistant Coach

Chris Clark and Bobby Jordan are the assistant coaches of the Temple Owls men's basketball team, as of November 2024.

Chris Clark has been serving as an assistant men's basketball coach at Temple University since 2016. He has also served as the video coordinator during the 2015-16 season. In addition, Chris Clark is a former basketball player and was a four-year member of the Owls from 2004 to 2008. He also served as the team captain during his time as a player.

Bobby Jordan joined the Temple Owls coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2023. Prior to his time at Temple, he was the assistant coach at Albany Great Danes men's basketball team for one season in 2022-2023. Before that, Jordan was the assistant coach for three seasons at Wagner from 2019-2022.
