Other fans have chimed in with support for FSU's decision, believing Arnett could make the Seminoles better this upcoming season.

Last season, the Seminoles finished with a 2-10 record and were the worst team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

FSU concluded its schedule with a 31-11 loss to the Florida Gators on Nov. 30. It was a setback for the Seminoles, as they had a 13-1 record and qualified for the Orange Bowl game against the Georgia Bulldogs the previous year.

Norvell spoke out about his disappointment with how the Seminoles performed last year in an interview with On3's J.D. PicKell on March 20. The hiring of Arnett could be a good sign that Norvell is committed to helping the Seminoles compete against the best in the ACC.

How can Zach Arnett assist FSU for the 2025 season?

The addition of Zach Arnett could be beneficial to FSU's defense. The team ranked fifth in the ACC in fewest total yards allowed (4,631). They'll need to improve their defense if they want to challenge for the top spot in their conference.

He has prior experience as a defensive coordinator for the San Diego State Aztecs from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, Arnett became the defensive coordinator at Mississippi State, a position he held until he was promoted to head coach after Mike Leach's death on Dec. 12, 2022.

Arnett could be a key contributor on Mike Norvell's staff in helping the Seminoles have another successful season, as they did in 2023.
