ESPN analyst Rece Davis, well-known due to his prominent role in "College GameDay," is one of the eminent voices on EA Sports College Football 25, which is due to be released on July 19. Davis has been heavily involved in announcing the popular franchise.

Davis showed the behind-the-scenes footage from some of the recording sessions from the game on X, including one where he commentated on a late game fumble in the famous game.

He revealed how many hours the recordings took to complete, along with some mind-boggling numbers on the show.

"250 hours. More Than 2 years. 30,000-ish samples or takes. What is all of this?" Davis tweeted. "It’s been a long time coming."

Different games within College Football 25 will have different announcers, and Rece Davis will be joined by some of his fellow ESPN analysts, including Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.

In a USA TODAY interview, Herbstreit said how the different announcers would divide the announcing duties in the game.

"Chris and I won't be on every every game," Herbstreit said. "You're going to have different broadcast partners for different games. Depending on the magnitude of the game, that will dictate who's calling the game."

College football announcers scramble to be included in game

The EA Sports College Football game has defined many fans' childhoods and, as such, has become one of the most iconic games ever made, with the personalities involved almost immortal just by appearing in the franchise.

The rebooting of the game has shown that fans and analysts alike are still hungry for the game, with positive reviews on various social media platforms on the confirmed announcers.

Senior Vice President of EA Sports Daryl Holt said in an interview with USA TODAY that the franchise was trying to have a core team of announcers since the game was coming back for the foreseeable future.

"The people that we've announced are the ones to focus on," Holt said. "This is college football coming back. It's not just coming back for one year. So there's an element to establishing the foundation, the first release of what we wanted to get right and focus on. So that's where we're starting."

The ESPN crew, which consists of Desmond Howard, Kevin Connors, Jesse Palmer, Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler, have all confirmed their participation in the game.

Holt also said that several notable football personalities offered their services for the wildly popular game but they had to draw a line at how many people could be involved.
