Todd Bowles praised Shilo Sanders
Shilo Sanders is participating in OTAs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sanders faces tough competition at safety from Marcus Banks and Kaevon Merriweather. If he doesnβt make the 53-man roster, he remains a candidate for the practice squad.
Bucs coach Todd Bowles praised Sandersβ ability and left the door open for him to earn a roster spot.
βI think heβs a good football player. Heβs a heck of a tackler and he knows the game very well," Bowles said on SiriusXM. "So giving him a chance to play, we think he has a shot to help us."
The Buccaneers will open the 2025 NFL season on Sept. 7 against the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET. Their first preseason game is on Aug. 10 against the Tennessee Titans.
