Atlanta Falcons Bio
The Atlanta Falcons are currently part of the NFC South division of the NFL. Established in 1965 as an expansion team, the Falcons were originally supposed to be a part of the American Football League (pre NFL-AFL merger). However, the franchise joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1966. When the Falcons franchise bid was made in 1965, it became the costliest franchise in the NFL at that time ($8.5 million). The Falcons did not find too much success in their first three seasons, with a record of 11 losses in each of the seasons. The team picked up their record in the late 1960s and the 1970s with the help of legendary linebacker Tommy Nobis and defensive end Claude Humphrey. The Falcons are currently valued at around $4 billion as per Forbes.

Atlanta Falcons Roster 2023-24
The Falcons will be looking to improve upon their playoff situation in the upcoing NFL season having missed out on a playoff berth since 2017. Players like defensive tackle Grady Jarett and offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom are crucial members of the Falcons' squad. They are standouts in an otherwise lacklustre Falcons squad. Tight end Kyle Pitss is arguably the best offensive player for the Atlanta Falcons and will be heading into the upcoming season as a force to rely on.
The Atlanta Falcons had a successful drafting spree and left the 2023 NFL draft with six new players — three on offense and three on defense. Round 1 pick is running back Bijan Robinson who has the potential to be a starter for the team if he can perform well in his rookie season. Offensive lineman Matthew Bergeron and pass rusher Zach Harrison have the potential to be impactful for the Falcons in the upcoming season too.
