The Cincinnati Bengals currently compete in the AFC North Division of the NFL. The team has been competing in the NFL since 1968 although planning for the team had started three years prior to that. One of the most successful Cleveland Browns head coaches, Paul Brown established the team in 1967 and joined the American Football League. They played in the AFC post the 1970 merger. The Cincinnati Bengals almost won their first Super Bowl in 2022 when they faced the Los Angeles Rams in a close match-up. The Bengals do not have a very successful NFL track record in the contemporary era but budding quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase have been turning the tides in favor of the team. The Bengals are currently owned by Paul Brown’s son, Mike Brown. The franchise is currently worth $3 billion as per Forbes.
