Former head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, Jim Harbaugh, made headlines when he led Michigan to a perfect 15-0 record and secured the CFP Championship in 2024.

Harbaugh's promise to commemorate the historic season with a tattoo garnered significant attention, particularly his reactions during the process. The video captured Harbaugh wincing and making faces throughout the procedure, providing a humorous contrast to his initial bravado.

Harbaugh joked about his pain tolerance, stating,

"I'm impervious to pain."

Further, he humorously added,

"I can see why once you get one [tattoo] you might want to start adding to it."

During Michigan's triumphant journey through the College Football Playoff, Jim Harbaugh made a bold pledge to his players, promising to get his first tattoo if they secured the national title.

"I'm going to put it on my shoulder," Harbaugh said (h/t ESPN). "I'll probably get it on my right. And then an M too, an M that's maize and blue."

Michigan won the Big Ten title for the third year in a row. They beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl to reach the final playoff game.

Jim Harbaugh returned to Michigan for Wolverines' ring ceremony

Former Michigan's head coach, Jim Harbaugh, celebrated a glorious homecoming at Ann Arbor. Harbaugh joined "Team 144" for the special ring ceremony. It was a huge moment for the program as the team achieved Michigan's first national title since 1997.

During the ceremony, players and coaches were honored with four rings, symbolizing their victories in the Big Ten title, Rose Bowl, College Football Playoff and the coveted national championship.

After Jim Harbaugh left to join the Los Angeles Chargers, Sherrone Moore took charge as head coach. Moore was the offensive coordinator but led the team for four games in 2023 as interim head coach during Harbaugh's suspension.

Two separate investigations by the NCAA and Big Ten led to his suspension. The investigations covered issues like improper recruiting during the pandemic and claims of filming opposing sidelines.
