“Only a few more sleeps”- Former USC star Caleb Williams bids emotional farewell to luxurious L.A. penthouse after Bears move at 2024 NFL Draft

Caleb Williams is a newly-minted NFL rookie after being drafted by the Chicago Bears in the NFL draft. This means he has to say goodbye to his life in Los Angeles in a few days and move to Illinois, which means saying goodbye to his luxurious penthouse that he spent the last few years in.

Williams took to Instagram to share a view of his penthouse with the fans with an emotional message. He acknowledged that he had just a few more days left to live in the place he calls home. The former USC star seemed quite emotional while sharing the snap on social media.

“Only a few more sleeps left here,” he wrote in his Instagram story.

Williams spent two seasons with the USC Trojans and enjoyed the best spell of his college football career there. His best year came in 2022 when he won the Heisman trophy due to his stellar numbers.

2023 was a bit of a downturn for the QB who was expected to win the elusive national title. Although he didn't manage to add the national championship to his resume, it was still enough to get him picked first overall in the 2024 NFL draft on Thursday. Can he lead Chicago to the promised land that has eluded them for so many years now?

Caleb Williams breaks Fanatics record just weeks after Caitlin Clark set it

The sports world saw a Caitlin Clark frenzy over the last few weeks after the college basketball sensation made her switch to the WNBA. She had set a record for the fastest-selling jerseys of any athlete on draft night. Then Caleb Williams came along and broke the record.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the first overall pick of the NFL draft 2024 set a new benchmark for merchandise sales on the night of the draft:

“Chicago’s No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams broke the Fanatics record for draft night merchandise sales for any draft pick in any sport, beating the previous record set last week by Caitlin Clark.”

Clark was the first overall pick of the WNBA draft, going to the Indiana Fever. All eyes will be on both Williams and her for their performance at the pro level.
