The Alabama Crimson Tide are typically consistent in putting together strong recruiting classes every year. In 2025, the team had the No. 3-ranked recruiting class, according to 247Sports. The year before, in 2024, the Crimson Tide had the No. 2-ranked recruiting class.

Part of the reason the team had such a highly ranked recruiting class in 2024 was that it brought in wide receiver Ryan Williams. A No. 8-ranked player in his class, Williams became an immediate star in his freshman season.

Now that the 2025 recruiting cycle has concluded, Alabama recruiters are focused on 2026. The team has already received commitments from some top players, including cornerback Jorden Edmonds.

On Saturday, a video was posted on X of five-star athlete Brandon Arrington in the locker room with Ryan Williams while on his official visit to Alabama.

Arrington is one of the top players in his class. He is classified as an athlete, meaning he does not have a specific listed position heading at this time. Instead, he will likely be evaluated by the coaching staff of whatever team he chooses to determine where he has the best chance of succeeding.

According to the 247Sports player rating, Arrington is the No. 29-ranked player in the 2026 class. However, according to the composite ratings, which rank players based on a public perception and a compilation of public ratings, he is the No. 10-ranked player in the nation.

Regardless of where he lands, it is clear he is a top prospect heading into the 2025 season. It would be a big boost to Alabama's recruiting class if it landed him.

Coach Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide are already putting together a strong 2026 recruiting class

While it is still early in the 206 recruiting cycle, the Crimson Tide have already received six hard commitments, according to 247Sports. The most notable commitment is Jorden Edmonds, a five-star cornerback who is the No. 14-ranked player in the nation.

Additionally, the team has received commitments from four four-star recruits: athlete Zyan Gibson, offensive tackle Sam Utu, edge Jamarion Matthews and interior offensive lineman Chris Booker. Lastly, the Tide have the commitment of three-star edge Kamhariyan Johnson.

It will be interesting to see if the Alabama Crimson Tide continue to be one of the best recruiting teams in the nation in the post-Nick Saban era. That appears to be the case after DeBoer was successful in building a strong 2025 class.
