LSU Tigers' highly-touted five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood caught fan attention Friday after effortlessly executing a backflip in a video shared on Instagram. The clip emerged from LSU's Friday Night Lights camp, where the 6-foot-4, 215-pound signal-caller showcased his physical prowess.
After the LSU camp, a video shared by Rivals was captioned:
"Bryce out at LSU camp doing backflips. He is 6’4 and weighs 215."

Despite being the top-ranked player in the nation, Underwood has maintained a steadfast commitment to LSU since Jan. 6, opting not to visit any other schools. Reportedly, if he signs with the Tigers, he would become the highest-rated quarterback recruit in the school's history.
According to reports, Underwood returned to LSU for a second summer, focusing on workouts with offensive coordinator Joe Sloan. Although he didn't participate in the Elite 11 Finals, he remains a top contender in discussions for the QB1 spot.
With Bryce Underwood hype LSU Tigers' recruiting mission gains traction
LSU's 2026 recruiting efforts are in full swing as it aggressively pursues top quarterbacks Faizon Brandon and Dia Bell. Recently, quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan hosted three of the top 10 signal-callers, including Dia Bell and Brady Hart, for unofficial visits in Baton Rouge.
Last Friday, No. 1 quarterback prospect Faizon Brandon visited Baton Rouge for the second time in three months. Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound player led his high school team to a 13-1 record as a sophomore and has received numerous scholarship offers.
According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Brandon praised coach Sloan.
“I’ve built a pretty good relationship with him [Sloan]. Seeing what he does with quarterbacks is one of the reasons why LSU is on my radar,” Brandon said. “I like how he develops quarterbacks. I like how he works with the quarterbacks.”
On June 16, Brandon posted on X in reaction to his recent LSU trip:
“My family and I had a great time visiting LSU this weekend! Thank you for the wonderful experience!”
Meanwhile, both Hart and Bell have committed to Michigan and Texas, respectively. Although Brandon's recruitment remains open, LSU Tigers is actively pursuing him.
Now, all focus undeniably shifts to Bryce Underwood, who visited Baton Rouge on Friday.
