Shilo Sanders NFL draft 2025: 5 potential landing spots for Deion Sanders' son

The Colorado Buffaloes have an excellent prospect in senior safety Shilo Sanders, who is entering his final year of college football. He finished the 2023 season with a career-high 67 total tackles, along with four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, an interception returned for a touchdown and three pass deflections.

With the 2024 NFL draft underway, where are some destinations where one of coach Deion Sanders' sons could wind up beginning his career in the National Football League?

Shilo Sanders 2025 NFL draft landing spots

#1 Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have been known in the last handful of seasons for their defense leading the way, and with the safeties being Grant Delpit and Juan Thornhill, adding Shilo Sanders to the depth chart could be a great signing. Sanders in coach Jim Schwartz's defense would be a great fit for both sides.

#2 Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have to reset the salary cap, and getting a safety on a rookie deal could prove to be critical. With Taylor Rapp and Mike Edwards projected to be the starting safeties next season, coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane are going to need some safety help. With a veteran defensive unit, this could help Shilo Sanders develop and have some experienced players help him out as a rookie.

#3 Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have a glaring need at the safety spot, as the team has Rayshawn Jenkins and Julian Love projected to be the starting safeties. With the cornerback trio of Riq Woolen, Devon Witherspoon and Michael Jackson, the Seahawks would not need Shilo Sanders to do much outside of his comfort zone. With a new regime in Seattle, there will be a need to infuse young talent, and that is exactly what Sanders could do for the 12th man.

#4 New York Jets

The New York Jets have built an impressive defensive unit, but their safety position has been the weakest spot in that group. Their projected starters this season at safety are Chuck Clark and Tony Adams. With defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich leading the way, the Jets could use a middle-round draft pick in 2025 and continue to bolster the defensive side of the ball. It also helps if Aaron Rodgers is still a Jets quarterback, as the team could continue to dominate as a Super Bowl contender.

#5 Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best defensive teams in the National Football League, and having Shilo Sanders in their secondary could bolster their roster. Coach Jim Harbaugh's safeties are Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams, and a player on a rookie contract to complete the rest of the roster could prove significant with their ability to keep high-priced players.
