Arch Manning has been waiting for his opportunity to shine as the Texas Longhorns' quarterback for two years now.

While he was originally expected to wait just one year before taking the starting position, he had to spend some extra time on the bench because Ewers decided to return for another year in 2024 instead of declaring for the NFL Draft.

Now that it's Manning's time to be the Longhorns' QB1, his hype knows no bounds, while some of it is credited to the skills he showed off last year in two games that he started, most of it is tied to his famous last name.

During his latest analysis of Arch Manning, analyst J.D. PicKell shared his thoughts on how he is different than Quinn Ewers after a clip of Manning working out in New Orleans went viral.

"Arch Manning is a different kind of quarterback than Quinn Ewers. You can go back and watch Arch Manning last year and see stuff like this, but to see him progressing in the off-season and to see it once again, just a good reminder."

"It's just verification that the offense will be different. We'll have a different tone, different look, different feel. With Arch Manning running your system or quarterback run game, you have a, probably a different perspective when the play breaks down, like you just saw him, you know, repping during that training session, different level of drive with the football, all those things are true." Brian Kelly drops blunt statement on Arch Manning being the top QB in 2025

Arch Manning's hype is considered one of the biggest ones we've seen in recent years, with some analysts even comparing it to Tim Tebow's era at Florida.

While Manning has only spent limited time on the field, many fans and analyst consider him the top runner for this year's Heisman Honor along with potentially being the No.1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Talking about Manning being the top QB in the 2025 college football season, LSU HC Brian Kelly said that even though he's extremely talented, Manning has a lot to prove.

"Now, Manning is extremely talented. But he’s got to go do it. And there’s going to be a couple of days where it does not come out the way it’s supposed to.

"How do you bounce back, how do you come back from that? How does it work the next week in your gameplan? So there is a lot out there. I can see the assessment of Manning, he’s an outstanding player. But I will take the guy that’s been in the SEC and seen what it looks like."

Texas will kickoff the 2025 college football season against Ohio State in Columbus on 30th August.
