The Sinhalese Sports Club is one of the four international cricket venues in the city of Colombo. The Sri Lankans have historically dominated here over the years making this ground their fortress.

Virat Kohli has been a tormenter of Sri Lanka all through his career. However, he has never scored a test hundred in Sri Lanka's cricketing den despite playing two Tests here in 2015 and 2017.
