With their 9-wicket win over Australia via DLS method in the first T20I at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi, India registered their seventh straight T20I over the Aussies. With this, the Men in Blue equalled their record for most consecutive T20I wins on the trot against any opposition.

Australia's last win against India in a T20I match came in the 2012 World T20 when the beat MS Dhoni's men by 9 wickets in Colombo. Since then, India got the better of Australia in Rajkot (2013), Mirpur (2014), Adelaide (2016), Melbourne (2016), Sydney (2016), Mohali (2016) and Ranchi (2017).

A lot of things changed since then. Let us take a look at the things that have happened since Australia last beat India in a T20I.

1. Australia tried five different T20I captains.

2. Australia gave T20I cap to 28 players.

3. Rohit Sharma took his ODI double hundred tally from zero to two.

4. India's head-to-head against Pakistan became 11-0 from 8-0.

5. ICC Champions Trophy changed hands twice.

6. World T20 changed hands twice.

7. IPL changed hands five times. 

8. Virat Kohli scored 28 International century.

9. Indian cricket team had four different head coaches/team managers.

10. Steve Smith got another chance with the Australian team, became a regular and was named the captain of all the three Aussie teams.

11. Brad Haddin played for three more years, won the World Cup, retired from cricket and became Australia's fielding coach.

12. Kuldeep Yadav, the Man of the Match in the first T20I, was picked in the under-19 World Cup squad, took a hat-trick, made a case for himself with his consistent performances in the domestic circuit, got picked for the Indian team, took an ODI hat-trick and cemented his place in the side.

13. Yuvraj Singh was dropped from the team five times (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017) and made a comeback four times (2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017).

14. Only three out of the 11 players of the Indian team that last lost to Australia are still a part of the Indian T20I side.

15. Hardik Pandya came into limelight, played well in the IPL, got a national call-up for the T20I side, got dropped, made a comeback, made his Test debut, scored a Test ton and cemented his place in the side across all three formats. 

16. Shahid Afridi still held the record for the fastest ODI century then. Corey Anderson broke it in 2014 and De Villiers broke it the next year.
