India's death-overs specialist Jasprit Bumrah is definitely the front-runner for the highest number of wickets in this year's world cup. Bumrah has risen to international fame after his IPL success and is someone who can bowl perfect yorkers at will.
He is now a regular feature of India's squad and is spearheading the country's bowling attack. Bumrah was awarded the Man of the series award in the last year's bilateral series against Sri Lanka when he picked up series-high 15 wickets and played a major role in sweeping the hosts. In the recently concluded IPL 2018, Bumrah has picked up 17 wickets with a mind-blowing economy of just 6.88, after playing in all 14 matches for the Mumbai Indians. Due to lack-luster batting performances, MI could not make it to the playoffs.
Bumrah has till now played for the country in 37 ODIs and picked up 64 wickets with a breath-taking wicket per match ratio of 1.7 and it does not look like his form is going to come down anytime soon.
