Dinesh Karthik is expected to make way for KL Rahul

Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik both, are not a certainty in the Indian one day side. The absence of Virat Kohli provided both of them with an opportunity to get a place in the Indian side for the game against Hong Kong. Rayudu's half-century puts him slightly ahead of Dinesh Karthik in the race for the middle order spot in the Pakistan game.

KL Rahul is the first choice number 3 for India in the absence of Kohli and he is expected to make a come back to the Indian team for the Pakistan game. Rahul will also be under pressure to perform as players like Karthik and Manish Pandey are breathing down his neck for a slot in the middle order.
