3 destructive innings by Sachin Tendulkar you haven't heard about

The top three Sachin innings that you are not aware about, all the three were simply amazing knocks in every cricketing sense!

#1 A 27-ball 72, Christchurch, 2002

72 off 27 balls!

In India's tour of New Zealand 2002, there was a unique concept of a "Super Max International" match which was basically a 10-over game of 2 innings each.Sachin, in India's first innings, scored a blistering 27-ball 72! What a knock it was! Here's important to note that there was a designated 'Max zone' on the ground behind the bowler, which the batsman could aim for to get the runs counted on that shot doubled. Sachin hit two 8s and one 12-run hit in that area.

Sachin had never played this format before, but the genius that he was, adapted quite brilliantly.

India eventually lost the match by 21 runs after Andre Adams triggered a batting collapse in India's 2nd innings.

Along with Adams, Sachin also scalped 5 wickets across both the innings of the match, and was thus awarded the Man of the Match award.

This was a Princess Diana Memorial played between the MCC XI against the Rest of the World.

MCC XI batted first and set a target of 262 for R.O.W. to chase. Standing up against the incredible line-up consisting of Donald, McGrath, Srinath, Kumble and Aamir Sohail, Sachin hit a masterly 125 off 114 balls, for what was a pure exhibition of batting from a man who was slightly out-of-form coming into this game.Who said Sachin doesn't have a test match hundred at Lords, eh?!

#3 Quickfire 50 off 26 balls, Kennington Oval, London

Where will you be if Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar are opening the innings, and MS Dhoni comes one-down?If you ask me, I'll simply get glued either to the stadium stands, or if not possible, then to the Television & will record every moment of it. But this unfortunately doesn't have a Youtube video!

In an International XI vs Pakistan XI 10-over exhibition match held at the Kennington Oval in 2006, International XI batted first with the dream batting combination of Lara and Tendulkar, with MS Dhoni following at Number 3.

Lara scored 32 off 21, while Dhoni blasted a 13-ball 35. Along with Sachin's 50, the International XI posted 123 on board after 10 overs.

Shahid Afridi (41 off 12), Shoaib Malik (30 off 18) and Inzamam Ul Haq (36 off 16) played brilliant knocks to chase down the target off the penultimate ball of the match.
