Jayant Yadav is part of the U-23 side

A young Indian under-23 side is currently being led out by Jayant Yadav in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2018. The tournament is being played out at 2 venues each in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament sees the likes of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and UAE taking part in the competition.

The Indian side started the tournament with a comfortable win over Afghanistan by 74 runs followed by a victory over Oman by 6 wickets. The IPL sensation Mayank Markande was awarded a place in the squad after consistent performances for the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 IPL.

The under-19 sensation Prabh Simran Singh was also given a spot in the Under 23 squad after an impressive show in the final of the recently concluded under 19 Asia Cup. The Indian squad for the tournament is as follows:
