Kohli is the best batsman in the world but his captaincy has been under criticism since he took charge of the Indian team. A top-notch leader needs to have clear idea on the proper field placements and bowling changes. But Kohli lacks the skill and he often gets criticised for his substandard bowling changes and field placements. Furthermore, his team selection is not always up to the mark.

A top captain needs to stay calm in the crunch situations but Kohli is an aggressive captain. In fact, he often loses his cool on the field. His aggression definitely helps in his batting performance and motivates him to score plenty of runs. Nevertheless, it is not quite useful in captaincy.
