Inzamam-Ul-Haq is one of the greatest cricketers to ever play the game. The ex-skipper of Pakistan played in 350 matches and scored 11739 runs in one day cricket at an average of 39.53. He also hit 10 hundreds and 83 fifties.

In the first ODI of the home series against India, Inzamam was dismissed obstructing the field. The home team won the toss and chose to bat first. The veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar scored a century to lift India to 328 before they got all-out.

Chasing a high total of 329, Pakistan were looking good at one point of time at 201-1, but lost wickets cheaply and almost let the game slip away. The match was abandoned after 47 overs due to bad light and Pakistan were 7 runs ahead by Duckworth-Lewis method and won the game.

However, this match will be remembered for the famous and controversial dismissal of their skipper Inzamam. In the 44th over, he came forward and hit the ball straight to Raina at mid-off who threw it at the stumps. Inzamam who was outside the crease blocked the ball with the bat and the Indians appealed for obstructing the field. Simon Taufel and Asad Rauf then discussed and declared him out.
