The most famous instance of a batsman hitting six sixes in an over was when Yuvraj Singh took on England pacer Stuart Broad at Durban. It was the 21st match of the inaugural World T20, played on 19 September 2007.

There was an intriguing sub-plot to the historic achievement. Yuvraj had an altercation with Andrew Flintoff at the end of the 18th over; the left-hander was clearly enraged, and a young Broad had to pay the price.

The elegant southpaw dispatched each and every ball of the 19th over over the ropes with utter disdain as Broad could only watch in dismay.

Yuvraj ended up registering the fastest fifty in T20s, off 12 balls. He was dismissed for 58 off 16 balls, having thundered his way to seven sixes and three fours as India posted an imposing 218 for 4 on the board.

England fought admirably courtesy Vikram Solani (43 from 31) and Kevin Pietersen (39 from 23), but ended up losing by 18 runs.
