Rishabh Pant made his IPL debut against Gujarat Lions in 2016. He went on to impress everyone and made his international debut against England in 2017. His 2018 IPL form seems more convincing as he scored 648 runs from his 14 games.
Pant was one of the three players to be retained by Delhi ahead of the auction. Even as Delhi finished at the bottom of the table, he won the emerging player award. Pant was also one of the highest run-scorers in this year's IPL season.
Montreal Tigers failed to qualify for the playoffs this year as they lacked an attacking middle-order batsman. Dinesh Ramdin, the keeper-batsman scored less than run a ball and was the main reason behind Montreal Tigers disappointing season.
Pant could be the type of player to help Montreal Tigers overcome the middle-order woes.
