Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is just 51 runs away from completing 10,000 runs for India in ODIs. Playing for India, Dhoni scored 9,949 runs in 275 innings at a whopping average of 50.24 which includes 9 centuries and 67 half centuries.

However, Dhoni had already completed 10K runs in ODIs. He played 3 ODIs for the Asia XI team in the year 2007 in which he scored 174 runs. Overall in ODIs, Dhoni has amassed 10,123 runs at a brilliant average of 50.61 which includes 10 centuries and 67 half centuries.

It was against Sri Lanka in December last year was when Dhoni scored a half-century for India in an ODI. Considering his batting position and this stat, it certainly does need a miracle to help Dhoni getting to this milestone in the second ODI against West Indies in Vizag.
