Pakistan have never beaten India at the World Cup and the stats from today’s match so far suggest it won’t happen again. Here are 4 stats that show that India are likely to beat Pakistan again:

1) While batting second, Pakistan's highest total in World Cup history is 264/6, which they scored against New Zealand at Auckland in the semi-final of the 1992 World Cup.

2) Sri Lanka are the only team to have scored 300 or more while batting second in an ODI at the Adelaide Oval. It’s been 16 years since.

3) Pakistan have never chased down a total of 300 or more against India, outside Pakistan.

4) India have never lost a match after scoring 300 or more in the World Cup. The Men in Blue had scored 296 against South Africa in the 2011 edition, which is the highest total they have made while batting first in a losing cause.
