With 4990 ODI runs to his disposal, the stylish Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan, is on the brink of a milestone. If all go well, Dhawan will become the 13th Indian batsman and 86th overall to score 5,000 runs in ODI cricket.

In his splendid career so far, Dhawan has scored 15 centuries and 25 half-centuries at an excellent average of 44.95. Off late, he has been in sour form with no fifty-plus score in last 9 outings.

Dhawan will look to shrug off the bad form and celebrate the milestone with some flamboyant innings like he often plays.

Indian pacer Mohammad Shami is set to become 20th Indian bowler to pick 100 wickets in ODI cricket. Currently, Shami has picked 99 wickets in 55 games at an average of 26.26. His strike rate has been a staggering 28.5 which is the highest among Indian bowlers who have picked as many or more wickets than him.

In recent times, Shami has been in-and-out from ODI team. With Jasprit Bumrah will continue to rest in upcoming New Zealand, Shami will continue to feature in the playing eleven.

Best of luck Shami for the approaching milestone!
