MS Dhoni
After retiring from Tests, the questions around when MS Dhoni will call it a day from all forms of the game have been circling in every press conference following a defeat. After a year in which he averaged just 34 from 34 matches with just a solitary fifty, the Indian ODI and T20I captain certainly hasn't helped his own cause or lived up to his lofty standards.
Dhoni's average across all formats in 2016 has been boosted considerably by his not outs in T20Is. Of the 21 T20Is that he has played in, he has batted in 16 and remained not out in 11 of them, which has given him an average of 47.60, even if he has just two scores in excess of 20 in 2016.
Although Dhoni was the only one to play in all 13 ODIs that India played in 2016 and even promoted himself to No.4, a position he prefers, he averaged just 27.80 at a strike rate of 80.1, which is well below his career ODI average of over 50. He also doesn't have an ODI century to his name in three years, which doesn't bode well for him.
