It was the 10th match of the inaugural edition of Indian Premier League and there’s no denying the fact that this has by far been one of the most controversial games in the history of IPL. The Harbhajan Singh-led Mumbai Indians locked horns with Yuvraj Singh’s Kings XI Punjab at the IS Bindra stadium, Mohali.

The hosts batting first posted a total of 182 runs in 20 overs. Kumar Sangakkara was the highest scorer from King’s side as he scored a scintillating 94-run knock. The hosts dominated in the second innings as well. MI suffered a collapse and eventually lost the match by 66 runs.

Punjab's paceman S Sreesanth exchanged some verbal volleys with the MI captain after the match. And Harbhajan, who was already miffed by his team’s performance, found the words offensive and ended up slapping the right-arm Kerala-born medium pacer. Sreesanth’s eyes were full of tears after this embarrassing incident.
