#2 Fourth fastest batsman to 21 ODI hundreds

Rohit Sharma's attacking 162 brought up his 27th ton in international cricket, and his 21st in ODIs. Initially starting off his career as a middle-order batsman, he rose up the ranks once he was promioted at the top of the order by erstwhile skipper MS Dhoni in 2013.

The move has worked wonders for Rohit and the Indian team, and the 31-year old has not looked back since, scripting one milestone after the other.

Rohit became the fourth fastest to 21 ODI hundreds, achieving the haul in just 186 innings. He is superseded by Hashim Amla, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Out of the above-mentioned innings, he has played 79 innings in the middle order, and yet has managed to feature in the top five. This record speaks loads about his consistency and abilities to score big.

#1 Second most sixes by an Indian in ODIs

Rohit Sharma is a destructive stroke player and can annihilate the opposition single handedly with his pinch hitting. Rohit deposited the ball outside the park on four occasions, and in the process overtook Sachin, who earlier stood second with 195 maximums. Rohit, currently having 198 sixes to his name, trails only MS Dhoni, who tops the list with 218 big hits.
