One season wonder?
One innings wonder?

Cricket has the tendency to produce heroes overnight and Brathwaite is definitely one of them. Carlos Brathwaite struck an incredible four sixes in a row in the last over of the 2016 World Twenty20 final to clinch the title for West Indies.

He was hailed as the next sensation in limited-overs cricket and his valuation in the T20 leagues skyrocketed. However, two years down the line, Carlos Brathwaite is struggling to fulfill his potential.

Though he was good in parts, he was far too inconsistent throughout his career. His batting average of 13.45 and 21 in ODI and T20I respectively does not look good for an all-rounder.

Also, his bowling performances weren't great over the last 12 months. Apart from that heroic knock, the 29-year-old has not done anything incredible for West Indies so far. Is he a one innings wonder? The answer has to be a 'Yes' for now.
