Australian speedster Josh Hazlewood, who is currently playing in the 2025 WTC final, participated in the 2010 edition of the U19 World Cup. The ongoing 2025 WTC final is being contested between South Africa and Australia at Lord's.

On Day 1, Josh Hazlewood bowled seven overs and achieved figures of 1/10, claiming the wicket of Tristan Stubbs. The right-arm speedster was Australia’s leading wicket-taker in the U19 World Cup, capturing 13 wickets from six matches at an average of 15.00 and an economy rate of 4.00, playing a crucial role in their triumphant campaign.

Even in the final of the 2010 U19 World Cup, Hazlewood delivered a stellar performance, helping his team secure the trophy. He finished with outstanding figures of 4/30 from 8.4 overs. Currently, he is an essential member of the Australian senior team and has represented his country in 72 Tests, 91 ODIs, and 52 T20Is. West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder also played in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup. Holder was the tournament’s highest wicket-taker for the West Indies, taking 12 wickets from six matches at an average of 17.75 and an economy rate of 4.03, which included a five-wicket haul.

He later represented the West Indies at the senior level, appearing in 69 Tests, 138 ODIs, and 66 T20Is. Holder is recognized as one of the top all-rounders in modern international cricket.

Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who is not in the squad for the current 2025 WTC final, was also part of the 2010 U19 World Cup. Marsh served as Josh Hazlewood's captain in that tournament, leading Australia to victory.

Although Marsh did not bowl during the tournament, he excelled with the bat, scoring 201 runs from six matches at an average of 33.50 and a strike rate of 81.70, including two half-centuries. To date, Marsh has played 46 Tests, 93 ODIs, and 65 T20Is for his country.

Star England batter and former captain Joe Root is another significant name to have played alongside Josh Hazlewood in the 2010 U19 World Cup. Root scored 138 runs from six matches in the tournament at an average of 27.60, including a half-century.

He has since become recognized as one of the greatest ODI and Test batters of the modern era, amassing 13006 Test runs from 153 matches at an average of 50.80, with 36 centuries and 65 fifties. Additionally, Root has scored 7126 runs with 18 centuries and 42 fifties from 180 ODIs for England thus far.

Current England Test captain and all-rounder Ben Stokes is another prominent player who competed in the 2010 U19 World Cup alongside Josh Hazlewood. Stokes showcased an impressive all-round performance in the tournament, scoring 166 runs from four innings at an average of 41.50 and a strike rate of 103.10, including a century.

With the ball, he claimed seven wickets at an average of 19.57. Stokes is regarded as one of the leading all-rounders in cricket today. Along with Root and Stokes, Jos Buttler also played in the 2010 U19 World Cup and is currently one of the top all-format batters.

Star Indian wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul also participated in the 2010 U19 World Cup with Josh Hazlewood. Rahul scored 143 runs from six matches in the tournament at an average of 28.60, including a half-century.

The right-hander is a pivotal member of the current Indian senior team, having played 58 Tests, 85 ODIs, and 72 T20Is thus far in his career. Like all the other names on this list, Rahul has risen through the ranks to establish himself as one of the finest cricketers in the world today.
