The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman would feel extremely unlucky as he keeps finding himself in and out of the team on numerous occasions.
He was included in the Asia Cup and played every game but was not able to come up with a noteworthy performance. He did score a few 30s and finished off a few matches as well.
Prior to that, he was a part of India's squad for the England tour where he failed miserably. He was dropped for the final three Tests after a disastrous outing in the first two Tests.
He was named the captain of the India A side in the ongoing Deodhar Trophy and scored 99 runs in their side's first encounter against India B. However, it was not enough as India A lost the match.
He has been included in Tamil Nadu's squad for the Ranji Trophy as well.
