This record will certainly not last long. New Zealand scored 22 sixes in a rain-curtailed ODI game against West Indies at Queenstown in 2014.

Corey Anderson was the star of the show for Kiwis as he struck a brilliant 131 off 51 balls, which included 14 sixes. Jesse Ryder and Brendon McCullum hit 5 and 3 respectively, making it a total of 22 in the innings.

England came close to breaking New Zealand’s record when they plundered 21 sixes against Australia last week.

Teams like West Indies, England, India, and South Africa boasts some of the most explosive batsmen in the world, meaning, 22 sixes in an innings is not at all a tough task for any of these teams in the 2019 World Cup.
