Rohit Sharma's scored a scintillating 264 against Sri Lanka

Gone are the days when 160's and 170's by a batsman is considered a herculean effort. Sachin Tendulkar broke the 200-run mark barrier for the first time in 2010. Scores of 200+ have been achieved on seven occasions so far in One Day Internationals and Rohit Sharma has done it three times.

Rohit Sharma scored a mammoth 264 against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in 2014. It is the highest score by a batsman in an ODI inning as of now. Martin Guptill came close to it in 2015 when he scored a stunning 237* against West Indies in the 2015 World Cup quarter-finals.

ODI has cricket has evolved a lot in the last few years. It has become more of a batsmen game these days and it will not be a huge surprise if someone goes past that in the 2019 World Cup.
