It's a rare occasion to see Rohit Sharma bowl in international matches, especially in recent times. But, Rohit has managed to scalp 11 wickets - 8 in ODIs, 2 in Tests, and 1 in T20 Internationals, in his bowling career till now.

#5 JP Duminy (Twice)

JP Duminy, the South African batsman, has been dismissed by Rohit Sharma not once but twice in his career, and that too in successive matches.

It was the 1st ODI of India's 2011 tour of South Africa, when South Africa had won the toss and elected to bat first. It was the end of the 41st over and the Proteas were well placed at 240-5, going into the final onslaught with a well-settled Duminy on 71*.

MS Dhoni, the Indian captain, opted for Rohit to bowl the 42nd over, and Rohit got the crucial breakthrough to remove the dangerous Duminy on the final ball of his over, leg-before-wicket on 73. South Africa were stopped from getting a 300+ score and finished their innings at 289/9.

India lost the game by 135 runs, as team India got all out in the 36th over at a paltry score of 154.

During the 2nd ODI, the Indian team were all in avenging mode and wanted to go all-out to level the series 1-1. This time India won the toss and elected to bat first.

India could manage just 190 on the board and were all-out in the 48th over. South Africa, chasing the low total, were 77 for 3 in the 16th over, when JP Duminy came on to the crease and stitched a 43-run partnership with his captain, Graeme Smith.

It was the 25th over of the match, and Rohit was called on to get a breakthrough, and he very well did when he dismissed JP Duminy again, for the 2nd time in a row, at a score of 13, thus breaking the ominous looking partnership.

India won the thriller of a match by 1-run, as South Africa were dismissed for a total of 189 in the 43rd over.

#4 Tillakaratne Dilshan

Dilshan was one of the most dangerous opening batsmen in modern cricket

It was the 1st T20I (D/N) of the Sri Lanka tour of India at Nagpur on Dec 9, 2009, and India had won the toss and elected to field first.

Sri Lanka was cruising at 110 for 1 at the end of the 12th over, with Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara at the crease with a partnership of 74.

Rohit Sharma was handed the ball for the 13th over, and Sangakkara was on strike. He hit Rohit for a 6 on the very first ball. The next ball, Sangakkara took a single and Dilshan, playing on 34, was on strike.

Rohit's third ball of the over rattled Dilshan's stumps as he tried to slog it over. That was Rohit's only dismissal for the match and has been his only dismissal in T20 Internationals yet.

India lost the match by 29 runs as they finished with 186/9 in 20 overs while chasing the 215 set by the Sri Lankans.

#3 Michael Clarke

Michael Clarke was one of Australia's most successful captains

The 1st Match (D/N) of the Commonwealth Bank Series 2012 at Melbourne was a rain-interrupted match, where each innings was shortened to 32 overs in comparison to the regular 50-over One Day International match.

India had won the toss and elected to field first, and had high hopes of restricting the Australians and chasing down the score set by them.

Australia had lost 2 quick wickets and were 19 for 2, when Michael Clarke, the Australian captain, came on to join Matthew Wade at the crease. They had stitched together a 30-run partnership when MS Dhoni, the Indian captain, asked Rohit Sharma to come in and bowl the 15th over. Rohit came in and dismissed Clarke (10) on the fourth ball of his over when he holed out to Rahul Sharma in the field.

Rohit ended with figures of 2-0-17-1 as India lost the match by 65 runs by the D/L method.

#2 Chris Gayle

Sharma dismissed the dangerous Chris Gayle on 64

For every team's captain, it is a relief to see the back of Chris Gayle, as the power of the 'Universe Boss' can destroy each and everything in its path.

It was the 2nd ODI of India's 2009 tour of West Indies, where India was playing at Kingston and had won the toss and elected to bat first.

A terrific performance by the West Indian pacer, Ravi Rampaul had restricted India to 188, and West Indies were set a target of 189 to be achieved in 50 overs.

Chris Gayle and Runako Morton came on as the openers and were cruising through at 101 for no loss when Rohit Sharma came on to bowl the 16th over of the match, his 2nd.

The first ball was flatter and quicker through the air, as Gayle barely managed to defend it. Gayle set out to target the part-timer Sharma, as he gave the second ball a massive strike, and as the ball soared towards the advertisement boards it was Gautam Gambhir who superbly caught it while running at long-off.

Rohit ended the match with figures of 8-0-27-2 (his second was Ramnaresh Sarwan) and was surprisingly the only Indian bowler to take any wickets in the 8-wicket loss to the West Indies.

#1 AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers was dismissed at the score of 76

In the same match, the 1st ODI of India's 2011 tour of South Africa, where Rohit dismissed JP Duminy, he also managed to dismiss the dangerous, AB de Villiers.

ABD and JP had stitched a 131-run partnership and MSD, the Indian captain, had gone through all his mainstream bowling options. So, he turned to the part-timer Rohit Sharma, who was given the responsibility of effecting a dismissal.

Rohit didn't disappoint his captain, as he dismissed ABD on 76 in the 36th over when he holed out to Harbhajan Singh in the outfield. ABD was playing vicariously on 76 at a strike rate of 110+ and was the immediate threat to neutralize.

He followed it up by getting rid of JP too and ended with figures of 7-0-30-2 from the match. But, India ended up losing the match as the batsmen could manage a paltry 154 and were all out in the 36th over of the match.
