#2 Prithvi Shaw

Prithvi Shaw is just 18 years old, but he has already made the world take notice of him. He has been in the talks for quite a time. He came into the limelight when he hit 546 runs in a Harris Shield elite division match and had set the highest score by any batsman in any organized form of cricket since 1901 (Later the record was broken by Pranav Dhanwade).

The right-handed batsman was the captain of India U19 team in the last world cup, which eventually India won. But it was his batting, which caught everyone's eye. He had batted superbly in the U19 world cup, giving India good starts at the top.

He has already scored 1000 runs in just ten first-class matches at an average of 56.22, scoring five centuries in the process. He recently showed the glimpses of his class in the IPL, when he opened the batting for DD.

The young gun scored a blistering half-century against KKR to give his team a comfortable victory. He has earned a lot of praises from some greats of the game during the IPL. He is a highly rated young talent, and we might see him in the blue in a very short time.
