1.Suresh Raina
After not finding a place in the 15-man squad for the 2017 Champions Trophy, one must wonder whether Suresh Raina is a part of India’s ODI scheme of things. The left-hander, who has featured in several of India’s major triumphs in the past, finds himself out of favour in the 50-over scheme of things.
One of Raina’s biggest drawbacks is his inability to counter the short ball despite having been on the international scene for over a decade. It is an area of his game where he has shown improvement, but it is almost as if he has not been able to still totally figure out how to counter it in the international game and such deficiencies are soon exploited by the opposition, which results in his downfall.
His last ODI game for India came in October 2015. The question is: Will he get another 50-over game in the future?
