Along with Karun Nair, Manish Pandey is another Karnataka batsman who was awarded his first contract this time around. Manish has been on the fringes for slightly longer than Karun, but his breakthrough came in the limited-overs formats.

The 27-year-old made his debut in mid-2015 and has been in and out of the team ever since. Indian fans will fondly remember his sensational debut ODI century in Sydney which took team India to a famous victory.

His ODI average is above 40 nowadays and the next step in his career is to establish himself as a regular in the Indian side.
